I've just signed up on Twitter. It does seem to have proper uses rather than just for finding out what random thoughts your friends are having every minute of the day.

So far I've signed up for stock updates from Bitzbox.com so I can find out straight away if a particular part I'm after has just been restocked. I've also added the Games Workshop "What's New Today" Twitter feed so I get told when there's something to look at (which are normally fairly interesting). So - two "real" uses there for a start.

I can't say that I'll be making too many Tweets myself - nothing I do seems that interesting even to me But it might be worth clubs setting them up so they can have fast multiple notifications sent to their committee members. I know the Bunker has seven committee members and trying to get all of us in one place at one times seems to be a Sisyphean task. I think Twitter might help connect everyone if it's really necessary. Even it's for something like "We're all meeting at the pub in half an hour."
