Before the release of high-end gaming consoles and PCs, it didn’t mean that young people in the 90s couldn’t have fun with video games. Even though you can’t play online with players from other countries, they can still be multiplayer or Local Area Network (LAN) with friends who play at their home or family, really!

 

In the past, the games were fun. In fact, the story is also interesting to discuss. Not only is the gameplay fun to play, but it seems like we are watching a movie too because the storyline is exciting!   1. Silent Hill (31 January 1999)

Silent Hill is a horror video game series created by Keiichiro Toyama, developed and published by Konami, and published by its subsidiary Konami Digital Entertainment.

The first four video games in the series, Silent Hill, 2, 3 and 4: The Room, were developed by an in-house group called Team Silent, development staff at Konami’s former subsidiary Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo.

 

  1. Final Fantasy VIII (February 11, 1999)

Final Fantasy VIII is an RPG game developed and published by Square for the PlayStation console.

Set in a nameless fantasy world with science fiction elements, the game follows a group of young mercenaries, led by Squall Leonhart, as they engage in a conflict sparked by Ultimecia, a magician from the future who wants to compress time.

 

  1. Super Smash Bros. (26 April 1999)

The series features many characters from Nintendo’s most popular franchises, including Mario, Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Star Fox, Kirby, Yoshi and Pokémon.

The original Super Smash Bros only had 12 playable characters, with the roster count increasing for each successive play and then including third-party characters, with Ultimate containing every playable character in the previous game.

 

  1. Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike (12 May 1999)

This game is a competitive 2D fighting game developed and published by Capcom.

The single player mode consists of fighting ten regular opponents, which includes character-specific rivals as the second opponent and Gill as the final boss for each character except for Gill himself, whose final boss is Alex.

Counter-Strike aka CS is a series of multiplayer first person shooter (FPS) video games, where a terrorist team fights to carry out acts of terror and counter terrorists try to prevent it. The series started on Windows in 1999 with the first game, Counter-Strike.

 

  1. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater (31 August 1999)

This game, which has a 3D background, is accompanied by an atmosphere of rock and hip-hop music. The player controls various famous skateboarders and has to complete missions by performing skateboard tricks and collecting objects.
